View of TEFLON tape

The TEFLON tape runs the full length of the control surface. A 1/2 inch slit was cut at each side of each hinge. Between the hinges the tape was threaded through the gap and attached to the transfer tape on the top of the wing. The TEFLON tape covers the hinge and is attached internally with a short piece of transfer tape.
