In summary, the removed original wheel components weighed 40 oz. The new installation increased the tail wheel moment arm by three inches. The new Matco wheel, tire-tube and axle weighs 35 oz.
A weight-and-balance was performed using calibrated digital aircraft scales. With the aircraft leveled the tail wheel weight was one pound less then previously weighing. This was consistent with my calculations due to the fact the scales do not indicate fractions.
