This RHJ-8 is a piece of aviation history, and a fantastic plane for sharing your sport with friends (intros or training). Two place HP side-by-side variant, and is one of only two still flying. 34:1 glide ratio, fully flapped, homebuilt status allows for owner-maintenance. C-FAJS first flew in 1970, and has 1447 hours. All-metal construction allows for summer-long outside tie-down, includes new Sunbrella canopy cover. Includes trailer. The pictures in the link are dated and do not reflect some recent upgrades. N692 has a V-tail. I purchased this kit in 1968 and finished the sailplane in 1975. It is all polished aluminum and has always been kept in it's custom built trailer. It has never been left tied out on a field, so it still has that shiny new look. I have flown it approximately 100 hours in the Pearblossom, California area. Has radio, variometer, altimeter, and oxygen. I'm selling it with the trailer, 2 wing stands and a fuselage stand. Projects

Slingsby HP-14 Projects - Two fuselage shells (one complete, one had been cut in two, but an easy repair), two sets of wings (one set skinned, but has some skin damage and other structural repair needed, the other has about 1/3rd of the skin on), no tail surfaces, canopies, gear, controls.  Lots of assembly required.  Mostly in Nevada (the cut fuselage, boxes of small parts, and drawings are in Wichita).  Can arrange for viewing by serious parties.  E-mail me for a bit more information. Super HP-18 female molds. Nose mold and Turtle Deck mold for modifying the standard HP-18 into the Super HP-18. Molded parts from molds provide a more comfortable upright seating configuration similar to current sailplane designs. The molds are owned by Chris Esselstyn; however, he is willing to loan them to other builders. The molds are currently in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. HP-18 forward and rear section canopies, both mounted on factory aluminum frames. Canopies have been used but are in good shape, front canopy has small crack that has been stop drilled by the front poppet vent. Photos are available upon request.
